Could you support adults who have a learning disability? No experience needed, we will provide you with full, free training!
You will be part of the team supporting 4 people who live in their own supported living accommodation.*Jim is 61, Peter is 52, Carol is 43 and Faith is 60. They all love chatting with their staff team and going out for a cuppa and a piece of cake. They all have different interests and hobbies, including arts and crafts, shopping, pamper sessions and social events. As their support worker you will assist them to carry out these and enjoy them in a fun way. An excellent sense of humour is a must, this helps to encourage them in participating in the more boring jobs like hoovering and bedroom cleaning. You will assist in menu planning, shopping and keeping the house clean and tidy. There are some elements of personal care you will need to support with and administering medication but do not worry if you haven’t done this before because we will fully train you and mentor you! This is a contracted part time role for 16 hours per week and will include one sleep in per week, there is opportunity for extra hours too.*Names changed for confidentiality
