Closing date: 04/02/2022
Salary: £9.50 per hour
Employment type: Full-time
Do you want a job where your influence will continue long after your shift ends? Could you support adults with a learning disability to live more independently?
You'll join a team who support four men and three women who have learning disabilities and live within five bungalows in Flitwick. Everyone is in their twenties and thirties and like to have lots of fun. As a result, these are very busy households with lots going on, so the days fly by with no two being the same. A typical day shift might involve supporting Ryan* when he attends his course at the local college or Luke* with his volunteering at the local cafe.
The social side of things is very important, with Karaoke nights at the local pub proving very popular and a big hit with the locals. Sean* loves to take centre stage and is at his happiest with a microphone in his hand.
These homes have a lovely, family atmosphere with an experienced team. New team members are always made to feel welcome and benefit from working alongside experienced colleagues who are quick to help with training and advice.
We have full and part-time roles available across a rota which includes days, evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins .
