Job reference: 001696
Closing date: 31/03/2022
Salary: £8.93 per hour
Employment type: Relief
Could you support people with a learning disability to live more independently? Would you like to make a difference that lasts long after the end of your shift? No experience necessary.
You'll be a Relief Support Worker at our residential service in Flitwick, supporting adults who have a learning disability and/ or autism. Relief (Bank) staff work shifts that fit in with their lifestyles, giving them flexibility and us additional staff coverage where we need it most.
There are a range of shifts to be covered but most of our available shifts tend to come up at weekends.
How Relief hours work
The Relief (Bank) post supports the permanent rota staff by completing shifts that are vacant due to annual leave, training and other staff absences. As such, hours are non-specific but your manager will endeavour to balance the needs of the service against your own work/life balance as appropriately as possible.
We normally plan the rotas one month in advance, but additional opportunities may also come up due to unexpected staff absences.
Of course we welcome you if you've been a care assistant or support worker, but experience isn’t necessary. If you share our values, are warm, friendly and willing to learn, you’re likely to be a great fit.
We’re looking for people who celebrate differences, and we strive to make all our staff feel included, valued and respected.
You must be a driver with a manual licence, as you will be driving service vehicles.
