With an increase in students registered for the new term, we are creating a number of new roles to join our education team.
As a Community Teaching Assistant, you won't be confined to the classroom. You'll teach young people aged 16 to 25, whose learning difficulties or autism mean that mainstream education won't always meet their needs. Using a bespoke curriculum, you teach what is important for the individual: key life skills and appropriate lessons in literacy, numeracy and ICT.
You'll be based in the High Wycombe and Flackwell Heath area, working 39 weeks a year either full-time (Mon - Fri) or part-time (four days a week).
Every day is different but one thing is the same: the achievement you will feel as you watch young people blossom into adulthood.
Perhaps you’ve worked in special education, as a Learning Support Assistant or Teaching Assistant. But experience is not essential. If you share our values, are warm, friendly and willing to learn, you’re likely to be a great fit. We’re looking for people who celebrate differences, and we strive to make all our staff feel included, valued and respected.
You'll need GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English, and good ICT skills.You must be a driver with your own transport, willing and able to travel across the area. Reasonable mileage is reimbursed.
