Job reference: 000258
Location: Wrexham - Llay
Closing date: 20/11/2020
Salary: £9.75 - £10.50 per hour
Employment type: Temporary
Are you ready for the next stage of your career? Could you lead a team whilst supporting people with learning disabilities?
As a Senior, you will combine supervising Support Workers with providing direct support to four ladies with learning disabilities, and autism aged between 18 and 50.
Some of the people who live here will require assistance with personal care and eating and drinking, they also have some behaviours of concern that will require your support.
You'll develop rotas, supervise staff, become involved in the recruitment, selection and induction of new staff, and generally ensure a high standard of practice in the service. You will work closely with the staff team, leading by example to ensure the people we support are living a life that makes sense to them. You'll encourage your team and identify training needs, whether that's formally or by way of day-to-day coaching and reflection. This role is 37.5 hours a week, and you'll take your turn working shifts on a 24x7 rota.
We are an award winning charity that has the core belief that everyone has potential, something to offer and a valuable contribution to make to their community.
We use a person centered approach to keep the people we support safe, happy and healthy and to ensure each individual is able to live a life that makes sense to them. Using a Positive Behavior Support strategy ensures we see the person first, not their disability.
