About  the role

You'll join the team supporting women who have learning disabilities who live in their own tenancy in Eastleigh. Not only will you be actively involved in a wide range of activities from the everyday living needs, you’ll be supporting with health and medical appointments, providing emotional reassurance and some intimate care.

We occasionally experience challenging behaviour which is due to anxiety however, we'll give you all the training you need around these aspects.

Shifts are worked on a rota basis which include days, evenings, nights, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins. Full-time hours are 37.5 hours per week but we also have part-time roles available.


About you

Firstly, you don’t need experience to become a Support Worker but it’s not easy. The work can be demanding and challenging at times but no two days are the same and the reward of seeing YOUR personal impact is incredibly inspiring and it’s something you’ll never forget.

Training and Development

At Macintyre we fully support your training and development. We know it can be daunting to start a new job, and not everyone learns the same way, so throughout your probation we will provide you with a mixture of eLearning, face-to-face training and mentoring support whilst on the job.
