We are seeking full and part time experienced and non experienced Support Workers for our care service in Shifnal.

Outline

Here in Shifnal, our priority is to ensure the people we support take part in meaningful activities every day (as much as we can safely do so during covid times).

The service is home to three individuals (aged 30 - 45) who all enjoy living as independently as possible and learning new daily living skills. You will join the team supporting with activities such as; Arts and crafts, attending appointments, and maintaining relationships with thier family and friends online.

Once we can all get out a bit more, we're usually supporting with other activities such as; horseriding, talking long leisurely strolls, going to social events like Club 2000 and The Buttermarket and meeting family and friends face-to-face.

You'll take your turn working shifts on a rota, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins. 

Some of the people you support will require your assistance with intimate care or medication. On occasions, we see behaviours of concern however, we will provide you with full training and support so you know how to de-escalate any situation.

About You

Experience isn’t always necessary. If you have the right personal qualities and share our values, you are likely to be a great fit. We provide a full induction, free training programme and the day-to-day back-up of your team and line manager.

You will need to hold a current manual driving licence as you may be required to drive the service mobility vehicle.
