Could you support someone with a learning disability to live more independently? Would you like to make a difference that lasts long after the end of your shift?
The gentleman supported is in his late twenties and requires support with every aspect of his daily lives both at his home and to enable him to access community facilities. The gentleman enjoys a wide range of activities, such as swimming, yoga, walking and going out to look at planes. He also enjoys playing on his Ipad and doing puzzles at home. Family is extremely important to him and you will help maintain contact and support vists where possible. You will support him to enjoy his favourite hobbies, both at home and out and about.
The role will require you to deliver personal care and support medication. We will provide you with full training and back-up from our specialist teams and your colleagues throughout.
You will also support him regarding day to day living skills, helping him to live a life tha makes sense to him. The gentleman has a diagnosis of Autism so an interest in this field would be beneficial.
You'll take turns working shifts on a rota , including days, evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep ins..
