Having the opportunity to positively impact another's life is a gift. To do this every day, what a life!
We love what we do and are recognised as an award winning charity for our passion and dedication. Come and join us as a Support Worker (experienced or not) and you'll soon see why!
Outline
We support seventeen individuals whose ages vary from early 20s to late 60s to live independently in their own flats or shared accommodation. Each person we support has different abilities and requires different levels of support but you'll soon get to know everyone, their personalities and how to best support everyone to live lives that make sense to them.
We have so much fun here in Emsworth and are really looking forward to lockdown easing and supporting everyone with their usual hobbies and fun activities. Being out and about is something everyone really enjoys here and no two days are the same!
As well as supporting with the everyday living needs and musts (cleaning, assisting with medication and finances), you'll be supporting people with activities such as swimming, going to the cinema, concerts, cycling, visiting the local market, horse riding, ballet lessons, art and drama classes and other day services.
Being in the heart of a small village, we are also very close to the beach, which makes for a great day out in the warmer months. Plus, there is a pond nearby where the people we support and staff will often go to feed and watch the ducks and get a yummy ice cream and enjoy the sun.
Here in Emsworth, we're a large and supportive team full of fun and bubbly team player personalities. Team culture is very important to us and we'll support you from day one and make you feel at ease so you'll soon feel part of the team.
The most important thing for the people we support here is that their staff are cheerful, positive and don't rush them. Personal care is required.
You'll take your turn working shifts on a rota, including days, evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
