We have an opportunity for a Support Worker to join our outreach team.

Outline

You will be supporting Craig* who is 25 years old as he makes the transition from our outreach service to supported living. It's a very exciting time for Craig but he'll need support adjusting to his new surroundings. You'll be providing Craig with emotional support (ensuring he settles into his new home ok) but you'll also be supporting Craig with all aspects of daily living and activities such as; assisting with medications and managing his home. You'll also join in with his favourite pastimes and hobbies which includes; bowling, swimming, going out for walks, listening to music, going into town, shopping or going out for meals. There is also some personal care involved.

The shifts are worked on a rota basis covering; Lates, earlies and some sleep ins.

About you

Experience isn’t always necessary to become a Support Worker. If you have the right attitude, good customer service skills, share our values and are willing to learn, you’re likely to be a great fit. You must be a driver with your own transport which is insured for business use.

Training and Development

At Macintyre we fully support your training and development. We know it can be daunting to start a new job, and not everyone learns the same way, so throughout your probation we will provide you with a mixture of eLearning, face-to-face training and mentoring support whilst on the job.
