We currently have two vacancies on the Magenta Living Board. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape our services to customers at a strategic level and make a difference to the lives of, and homes we provide to, many thousands of people across our neighbourhoods. We need you to share your knowledge and expertise with us and you will be supported in your learning and development whilst gaining a mass of experience of the financial, operational and governance workings of a large, successful local organisation.
We are looking to strengthen the Board’s skills with additional social housing finance / accounting / general business knowledge and experience and you will initially join the Audit and Risk Committee.
We also have a key objective to ensure our customers’ voice is heard at Board level and are specifically looking for a Magenta Living tenant or someone who lives in / extensively works within Magenta Living communities. This is a vital part of our governance structure providing a unique insight of our customers’ views and expectations. You will also be appointed to the Magenta Communities Committee which is tenant majority committee.
Applications are particularly encouraged from women, BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic) and younger candidates who are currently under-represented on the Board (Section 158 of the Equality Act 2010). Magenta Living is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workforce and is proud to be an equal opportunities employer. Applications from all suitably qualified individuals are encouraged regardless of age, disability, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief and marriage and civil partnerships.
Magenta Living is the largest registered housing provider in Wirral and a charitable not-for-profit organisation, owning and managing around 13,000 properties. Employing more than 500 staff, we are a significant local employer demonstrated by our accreditations of Investors in People Gold standard and our Customer Service Excellence certificate. We have invested almost £200 million in our existing properties and have ambitious plans to deliver additional homes for social / affordable / private rent, shared ownership and private market sale over the coming years across Wirral, Halton and Cheshire East and Cheshire West.
