Advice & Information Worker (Ref: PA08)
21.5 hours per week, 12 months fixed term post (maternity leave cover)
You will have experience of providing welfare benefits advice, including undertaking better off calculations and establishing people’s rights to benefits. You will have experience of providing advice and practical assistance on a range of issues including debt advice and housing issues. You will have knowledge and understanding of the relevant law, policies and procedures relating to the welfare benefits system, debt and housing. You will have a proven ability of enabling clients to identify and take action to try and resolve issues. You will have a knowledge and understanding of the main issues and barriers people experiencing mental health needs may face, and a general knowledge of mental health conditions. You will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
