Volunteer Opportunities (Ref: TE09)
We believe in recovery at MHM and we are committed to providing services that support clients to travel their own recovery journey, and be at the heart of it.
We are looking to recruit to a Number of Volunteer Roles to join our Social care teams across the Teesside services.
As a Volunteer you should be able to inspire and engage people, you must have the ability to identify barriers and understand client’s needs, while possessing excellent motivational skills to coach clients to achieve their recovery goals, or maintain their physical and emotional wellbeing. Our Volunteers will complement our staff teams and ensure our clients experience in our services are second to none.
Previous experience in a social care setting working with people who have a range of complex needs including Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol user groups as well as experience of recovery planning and goal setting would be advantageous. But above all a desire to help people and a willingness to learn is important as you will receive training and development opportunities in the role.
Volunteer Group supporter- Supporting our Recovery Workers and Personal Assistants to prepare and deliver group activities, support clients to take part in group activities.
Volunteer Administrator- Supporting our Practice Lead with administration, collating data and ensuring our reports are returned on time.
Volunteer Recovery Assistant- Working alongside our Recovery Workers to help our clients achieve independent living goals.
