Employment Coach (Ref: BR15)
37.5 hours per week
Based: Across Bristol
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are dedicated to the principles of social inclusion, and supporting adults with mental health needs. MHM are working in partnership with the Richmond Fellowship providing support across Bristol. MHM and the Richmond Fellowship are two of 18 organisations providing mental health services and come under the banner of Bristol Mental Health. The post involves supporting people accessing primary and secondary care provision to either retaining their job by liaising with employers or assisting people in finding and keeping paid work. You will source referrals from a variety of service providers, and promote the service across Bristol.
Working as part of a team, you will work closely with mental health professionals, partners and other agencies. You will have experience of working within employment and knowledge of employment rights and job retention is key. You will demonstrate an ability to prioritise caseload and have an understanding of the principles of the Equalities Act and how it relates to Employment Rights.
You will be educated to a minimum ‘A’ Level Standard (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent), have awareness of/and or experience of working with people who have experienced mental health issues, particularly in accessing employment and will have the demonstrated skills and ability to help others identify and overcome barriers. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to demonstrate a proactive and highly motivated attitude. This post will operate throughout the Bristol area.
