Qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (Ref: SS51)

£22,128 per annum, pro rata (NHS AFC Band 5)

37.5 hours per week             

Based: Wellbeing Centre, Tamworth


This in an opportunity to work in the Wellbeing Matters service located in Tamworth, Lichfield and Burntwood providing high volume, low intensity interventions with a range of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) based self-management interventions to clients with mild to moderate anxiety and depression. Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner’s (PWP) will provide self-management interventions in a range of modes such as face to face and telephone sessions, computerised CBT and facilitating step two courses.



The post holder will:

•           Be a qualified PWP with a Post Graduate Certificate in Low Intensity Interventions OR be currently undertaking Post Degree Certificate due to qualify this year.

•           Have evidence of working with people who have experienced a mental health problem.

•           Be able to work with high caseloads and have experience of working to performance targets.


It is useful although not essential to have knowledge of the IAPTus system or be willing to undertake training in this area.


Please note that any offers of employment to applicants currently still undergoing training will be made subject to successfully completing the course and gaining their Post Graduate Certificate in Low Intensity Interventions.


Please note that this service operates between the hours of 8am and 8pm Monday to Friday and, in the future may operation 10am and 4pm Saturdays, therefore applicants must be available to work outside of normal working hours at least once a week, which will be agreed with the Line Manager.
