We believe in recovery at MHM and are committed to providing services that support clients to be at the heart of their own recovery journey.

 

We are looking to recruit to Volunteers to join our Employment Team in Hartlepool.

 

As a Volunteer you should be able to inspire and engage people, you must have the ability to identify barriers and understand client’s needs, while possessing excellent motivational skills to coach clients to achieve their recovery goals, or maintain their physical and emotional wellbeing. Our Volunteers will complement our staff team and ensure that clients have a high quality experience whilst accessing our services.

 

Previous experience in a social care setting working with people who have a range of complex needs including Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol user groups as well as experience of recovery planning and goal setting would be advantageous. But above all a desire to help people and a willingness to learn is important as you will receive training and development opportunities in the role.

 

Opportunity Available:

 

Volunteer Vocational Group Supporter- supporting our Employment Specialist Recovery Workers to prepare and deliver group activities whilst supporting our clients to participate in said activities.  Although this will depend on client need, activities may include; interview techniques, CV writing, job search and support with MHM client zone.
