Special Constable Recruitment

We are currently recruiting Special Constables - Special Constables are volunteer Police Officers, who come from all walks of life.  They work alongside our regular officers in the local neighbourhood policing teams and play a vital role in supporting the work of the police and the community.  After initial training, Special Constables will wear the same uniform and hold the same powers as our regular officers.  Joining the Specials can give you the chance to make a real difference to your community, and enhance your skills.  However, this is a demanding role and we ask that you give up 16 hours of your spare time each month.
