2022 Incentive scheme. For those employed post 1 January 2022 a £250 incentive payment will be paid on completion of 20 weeks continuous service*.

We are looking to develop people interested in gaining employment within the aviation security profession. Successful applicants will be enrolled on a 3 week training programme and awarded the nationally recognised Department for Transport (DfT) certificate in ‘Aviation Ground Security’ on successful completion of the course.

In addition, on successful completion of the programme each person will be:

• Guaranteed employment as an Aviation Security Officer

• Awarded additional staged payments to cover their training commitment

At Newcastle International Airport we work as a team to provide a safe and secure operation for our customers. We need people who are customer focussed, positive, proactive and who are able to work as part of a team. 

The role will involve shift work to cover our 24/7 operation and we need people who are flexible about when they work to meet our airline schedules. We are interested to hear from applicants who would like to consider full and part-time working on a shift basis.

Note: Post training programme employment contracts will guarantee a minimum of 20 hours per week. However, there will be the opportunity to work full time hours as seasonal demands dictate. Furthermore, we anticipate opportunities for permanent employment beyond this summer.

Department for Transport regulations requires that a Criminal Record Check and Counter Terrorism Check, both are prerequisites for employment.
