Are you an organised and caring individual with a passion for delivering excellent patient care?
Rosedean House Surgery is looking for a Phlebotomist to join our friendly and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in providing safe and effective care to our patients within a welcoming primary care environment.
As a Phlebotomist, you’ll work autonomously under the guidance of the nursing team, supporting GPs, Nurse Practitioners, and HCAs as part of a multidisciplinary team. You’ll help ensure our patients receive a smooth and positive experience, maintaining high standards of care, privacy, and dignity.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect blood samples from patients as requested by the clinical team.
- Adhere to all relevant NHS and surgery protocols, including specimen handling and infection control.
- Ensure safe use and maintenance of phlebotomy equipment.
- Provide compassionate, patient-focused care during all interactions.
- Support the wider clinical and reception teams as required.
- Participate in training, audits, and personal development activities.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Qualified and trained in venepuncture.
- Passionate about providing excellent patient care.
- Able to work effectively within a busy clinical environment.
- A good communicator with strong attention to detail.
- Reliable, motivated, and a team player.
- Experience working in a primary care or NHS setting is desirable but not essential — full support and training will be provided for the right candidate.
