About the role

We are looking for a talented, self-motivated, Senior Media and PR Officer to join Parkinson’s UK’s award-winning and ambitious Media and PR Team working across an exciting portfolio of Parkinson’s UK work.

You’ll be joining at an exciting time, as in 2019 we’re focused on raising awareness of this much misunderstood condition, and the funds we need to end Parkinson’s for good. 


What you'll do

You will apply your skills and experience to support the promotion of all areas of our work.  The emotive nature of what we do gives us the opportunity to be proactive and create compelling, sensitive and impactful case study -ed stories breaking new stories and VIP supporters in the media.

We’re primarily looking for an experienced and enthusiastic PR professional with great news sense and solid experience of planning and delivering a range of successful media and PR campaigns for national and regional media.  You’ll drive forward our work to highlight our fundraising activities, research breakthroughs, and policy and campaigns work. 


What you'll bring

We're especially keen to hear from people who are passionate and have experience of working on emotive fundraising and health awareness campaigns, with a track record of successfully placing impactful features about case studios and VIP supporters in media.

You will be well organised, creative, flexible and a proactive person who is experienced and confident enough to lead on projects and negotiate with a range of internal stakeholders to achieve the best possible results.
