About the role

We’re looking for an outstanding internal communications and engagement professional to join our charity.  This is a role with huge opportunity for impact in a time of exciting ambition and change for the charity. Working in a highly collaborative directorate and organisation, it’ll be your opportunity to shape compelling, creative and engaging communications campaigns, which lead to increasing awareness and active participation.

What you'll do

Working with the head of internal communications and engagement, you’ll map out, deliver and measure informed, tailored and inspiring ways for colleagues to discover more; to feel motivated by the potential and boldness; and to get involved in its creation and delivery.

You’ll be joining a team that’s focused on doing everything it can to enable colleagues to play their part in the successful delivery of our charity’s core purpose. We’re also a team that’s up for giving new ideas a go if they benefit our people.

What you'll bring

You’ll be comfortable juggling multiple priorities and managing stakeholder expectations. You’ll be ready to come forward with ideas and suggestions. You’ll enjoy being part of a fast-paced, collaborative team that gets stuck in. Moving from hands-on filming to drafting comms plans is something you’ll be comfortable and happy with.

You’ll also enjoy variety, have strong attention to detail, and like staying up to date with good practice so you can give new things a try, measuring and iterating as you go. You’ll enjoy developing content and channels, and get a buzz from seeing the positive results that they can bring within an organisation.

You’ll have some in-house experience of successfully managing communications for change projects, independently or within a team, and be familiar with the best ways to engage remote workforces too.

This is an exciting time for Parkinson’s UK and we would love you to join us!

Please note, we will be shortlisting candidates on receipt of applications based on the essential criteria of the person specification. Only candidates shortlisted for interview will be notified and the vacancy may close earlier than stated.
