We have an exciting opportunity for an in-house tailor to join our prestigious and fast paced Floral Street Shop.  You will be expected to complete a lot of repair work, and alterations, to match a client’s needs.  As an Alterations Specialist you will be expected to create a special environment by developing relationships with clients and Shop Sales Consultants to provide a unique shopping experience.


  • To deliver high-quality workmanship to ensure the proper fit for both men's and women's garments.
  • Working on the Shop floor in a customer facing environment therefore requiring confidence and customer engagement.
  • Accurately mark and pin garments for alteration; complete alterations, adhering to the alteration brief provided to client.
  • Cutting, mounting, hand and/or machine sewing and pressing of all parts of the tailored garments.To create a special environment by developing relationships with clients, and shop Sales consultants to provide a unique shopping experience and selling ceremony.
  • CRM; contacting customers for finalisation of works and following up with customer care/ satisfaction through either verbal or written communication.

Essential Experience and Skills Required:

  • Minimum educated to A level standard / GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths or equivalent, or high level of practical attainment.  Advanced computer literacy in Excel and Word.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in seamstress/ tailoring, preferably in luxury or high-end apparel. 
  • Ability to sew and understand a wide range of garments and fit both male and female clients. 
  • Must have a strong understanding of fabrics, patterns, and stitching techniques, as well as mastery of both machine and hand sewing.
  • Have the ability to work to deadlines. Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment with limited supervision.

  • Flexibility to work a retail schedule which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays
