About the role
We’re looking for an experienced Operational Support Officer to join our Environmental Services team. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills who enjoys structured work, problem‑solving, and supporting operational teams to deliver an excellent service.
In this role, you’ll work closely with our Arboriculturist while also providing support across Grounds Maintenance, Caretaking, Voids, and other Environmental Services areas. It’s a role with plenty of variety, where accuracy, organisation, and communication really make a difference.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll play an active part in ensuring our services run smoothly day‑to‑day, including:
- Handling tree‑related enquiries and maintaining accurate records
- Supporting operational teams by scheduling work, updating trackers, and monitoring progress
- Working with residents and contractors to ensure queries are resolved and information is kept up to date
- Managing data using systems such as Excel, QGIS, and internal IT platforms
- Assisting the wider team with a range of administrative tasks across Environmental Services
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping processes organised, working with data, and supporting others to deliver high‑quality services.
What we’re looking for
We’re keen to hear from candidates who:
- Has solid administrative experience, ideally in a fast‑paced environment
- Are confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Can work independently and manage their own workload
- Has good communication skills and a customer‑focused approach
- Holds GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths, or relevant experience
