Job Description

Assistant Housing Officer (Incomes Team) fixed term or secondment opportunity, for up to 6 months.

About the role

The purpose of the role is to maximise the income of PCH, while actively equipping clients with information, support and assistance designed to promote financial and social inclusion. The successful applicant will ideally have a background in benefits advice and/or excellent customer service skills with a diverse range of customers.

You Will:

The role is to support the incomes team in the delivery of an excellent income recovery service. You will do this by working in a way that shows genuine commitment to providing a good quality service to both current and former tenants. This will mean demonstrating by word and action that the views and priorities of current and former tenants are taken into account in all aspects of service delivery with which you assist.

You’ll need:

  • Have Skill in building rapport & relationship with a wide range of customers & staff. Ability to work well in a team.
  • Must be numerate and possess the ability to provide and process information accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ability to quickly assimilate a wide range of information and operating procedures, consistent with working in a regulated, customer focussed sector.
  • Positive attitude and demonstrable commitment to working in a demanding, customer focused environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Housing legislation particularly in relation to debt recovery.
