The role

We are currently looking for a Contract Co-ordinator in Sherburn, near Scarborough, to help support the team ensuring that we are delivering everything we have promised to our customers.

This role reports to the Team Leader and you will be part of a team of logistics professionals based on our customer’s site, where you will be responsible for organising and managing load volumes from booking to delivery. This will include monitoring and managing cost effective collection and delivery of loads, selecting hauliers in terms of price, service and H&S to ensure service standards are met, liaising closely with the customer and hauliers, resolving all queries relating to service issues or incidents in a timely manner, updating our in-house computer system and producing reports for management and customers.

The person

So what skills are we looking for:

  • Experience of operating within a logistics environment; previous freight forwarding experience would be an advantage
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Fantastic organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise your workload
  • An eye for detail
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Good IT skills, including MS Word and Excel
  • A knowledge of H&S would be an advantage
