Portsmouth Water are looking for a proactive individual to aid in the design, development, and optimisation of Operational Technology (OT) solutions across our Production assets. This role involves close collaboration with managers, process scientists, production teams, technicians, and both internal and external stakeholders. The successful applicant will lead the delivery of eCAF technical objectives, improvements in site connectivity, cyber security, and NIS compliance.
What will you be doing?
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the eCAF project delivery tasks by designing, installing and commissioning OT network and control upgrades and improvements.
- Commissioning Production and Investment OT works to CAF compliant standards where required.
- Change control of electronic documents, software packages, PLC/HMI/SCADA/GeoSCADA files.
- Complex fault finding and troubleshooting on Industrial Control and Automation Systems (ICAS).
- Delivering training, coaching and mentoring to EICA and OT Engineers.
- Design and develop OT cyber security and systems solutions.
- Installation of systems to architecture drawings.
- Configuration of managed switches and firewalls.
- Design, test and commission smart MCC control sections.
- Security improvements including building and maintaining Domain Controllers, Active Directory etc.
- Implement and maintain disaster recovery and change control systems.
- Upgrade and optimise OT assets.
- Develop project documentation for project lifecycle
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures for OT installations
What do you need?
Skills, Qualifications & Competencies
- Expert understanding of Industrial Control Systems
- Advanced understanding of process instrumentation
- Expert understanding of hardwired control circuitry
- Expert in PLC, SCADA and HMI design/modification
- Expert in Schneider, Rockwell and Wonderware applications
- Experienced in Telemetry configuration
- Experienced in OT communication protocols
- Experienced in configuration and management of intelligent security devices and virtualised environments.
- Working to and developing project/engineering documentation
- Advanced understanding of OT network architectures
- A degree in Electronic Engineering/Control Systems Engineering
- A recognised OT cyber security qualification is desirable
- BS7671 18th Edition is desirable
- IOSH Managing Safely is desirable
