Job Description

Portsmouth Water are delighted to have an opening for a Customer Support Assistant to join our SMART Metering Programme. Acting as a main point of contact for our customers, you will deal with delivery enquiries, record and track all customers communication, and maintain customer performance data for contract compliance.

What will you be doing?
Key Responsibilities

• Produce and send localised and individual customer communications in support of mobilisation and programme delivery.
• Identify vulnerable customers for works information.
• Identify third party landowners for access.
• Respond to customer contract and delivery enquiries.
• Despatch QHSE supervisors to manage escalated enquiries and complaints.
• Track and record actions and resolutions.
• Escalate complaints and issues to the Programme Manager as necessary.
• Record and report customer feedback for completed works.
• Issue land registry searches and land access agreements under Water Industry Act.
• Collect and report customer performance data and keep systems updated.
• Issue works, purchase and task orders.
• Work collaboratively with all team members to help achieve business performance objectives.
• Adherence to company health, safety and wellbeing policies.
• Strong focus on building successful relationships whilst collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders.

What do you need?
Skills, Qualifications & Competencies

• Full UK driving licence.
• Previous experience of working in a customer-focused environment.
• Competency in basic computer skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• An awareness of personal health and safety.
• A proactive attitude to delivering excellent customer service.
• A good understanding of English and Maths.
• A higher education certificate would be advantageous.
