Your new role

We’re looking for a Communications Assistant to join our busy press and external affairs team. You’ll support us with a wide range of activities to make sure that the press and external affairs team are successfully communicating with our stakeholders and publishing great press releases.

You’ll manage the press coverage we achieve, making sure it’s up to date, always looking for opportunities to create new and engaging content where possible. Remember, we don’t just want to do things the way they’ve always been done, we want to do things even better! You’ll also make sure we’re on top of the news as it happens, whether that’s local, national or government announcements. The team is also responsible for producing the group’s corporate reports so you’ll also support with the production of these – working with teams across the organisation to source the information needed.

No two days will be the same so enthusiasm, a can-do attitude and a genuine passion for always wanting to go the extra mile will be essential. You’ll also help us develop campaigns, engaging content and collate our metrics to be sure we’re always reaching our audiences.

You’ll have the confidence and excellent communication skills to engage with all stakeholders internal and external. You should also have experience writing high quality material for a range of channels and audiences.
