Cangle Foyer is a Places of Change scheme working to prevent and support people through a period of homelessness, our services include providing support and training.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Project Assistant you will play a vital role in providing support to our teams, as well as supporting our customers to make their own life choices and to access the services they need. You will be a key part of enabling customers to achieve their aims and aspirations through a person centred support plan.
You will provide a first class administration service, maintaining accurate records and acting as a first point of contact for customers by telephone or in person. You will engage with people to offer housing related support, responding to and escalating queries as necessary.
You will be responsible for cleaning and preparing void rooms ready for new customers. The role can be challenging at times, but you will be supported by the team and the manager to offer a great experience for our vulnerable customers.
The role is initially based out of Cangle Foyer, however you will be required to cover other schemes within the patch to assist with the day to day delivery of high quality support and housing service to Care and Support customers.
This Fixed and Flexi post offers up to 15 hours per week. Individuals wanting to work less than 15 hours per week are welcome to apply for the role - please ensure that the hours of interest are shown on your application.
All roles will require a flexi approach with regards to location; days or shift patterns, which will vary on a week by week basis. Fixed and Flexi roles will provide cover for schemes during planned and unplanned periods of absence; as a result there will be opportunities to work more hours subject to business needs and individual circumstances.
WHAT DO YOU NEED
Ideally, you’ll already have experience of working with vulnerable clients in a housing/social care setting. If not, you will be given on the job training but will certainly have the initiative, empathy, interpersonal skills, resilience and sensitivity to appreciate how everyday housing issues impact on quality of life. You will share our passion to end homelessness.
Commitment to providing the quality service that our customers need is also essential. You will have excellent communication, IT and customer service skills and the organisational skills required to deal with a range of administrative issues.
