Riverside have a new opportunity for a Relief Worker to join their Schemes in Romford.
You will work on an Ad Hoc basis covering staff sickness and absences. The scheme is staffed 24/7 so night shifts may also be available.

Who you’ll be helping
You will be able to work across 3 different schemes within the area; Blackmore House and The Boundaries offer support to customers with mental health issues and enduring mental health. Lucas Court is one of Riverside’s Retirement living properties and enables customers over 55 to maintain their independence.

What will you do?
As a trusted member of the team, you will be responsible for providing housing related support to our customers including enabling them to manage daily living (e.g. cooking, budgeting, shopping, etc.) as well as ensuring customer involvement in activities.
Day to day
Your usual responsibilities as a Relief Worker will include:
• Providing high quality, customer orientated service.
• Ensuring all actions are customer led.
• Encourage and enable customers to be as independent as possible.
• Liaising with other relevant people involved in the support of the customer.
• General administrative tasks.

Does this describe you?
You are flexible, empathetic, inclusive and resilient. Even better, you have excellent interpersonal and communication skills too.
Though not essential by any means, you have preferably worked with vulnerable clients in a housing or support setting before.
