Riverside are looking to recruit Relief Workers in Romford, you will earn £10.55 per hour.
Working as a Relief Worker you will need to be able to work flexibly and cover sickness and holidays on an as and when basis, including the possibility of night and weekend shifts.


Who you will be helping

We have 3 schemes within Havering, Romford. The Boundaries, Lucas Court and Blackmore House.  Each of these schemes deliver specialist supported housing to people with mental health issues.  The work is focussed on helping people to gain and maintain their independence and empowering them to make choices for their lives.
The Boundaries, is staffed 24 hours a day 365 days a year.  Shift patterns are covered from 7am till 10pm and staff covering nights.
Lucas Court, is open from 9am – 5pm and includes weekend and bank holidays
Blackmore House is staff from 8am until 9pm, 365 days a years.


What will you do?

The right candidate will be enthusiastic and passionate about supporting people with daily living skills, shopping, cooking, budgeting, cleaning.  They will also support with aspirational goals such as volunteering, employment and education.  Each scheme delivers group activities as well as on an individual basis.

Does this describe you?

The successful candidate will preferably have experience of working in a homeless or support setting and have excellent communication skills as well as the ability to show initiative and remain resilient, reliable and motivated at all times.

Day to Day

• Supporting our customers, in the community as well as within their homes
• Maintaining the living environment i.e. cleaning and repairs to include Health & safety
• Administration, accessing our case management systems

Though not essential by any means, you have preferably worked with vulnerable clients in a housing or support setting before.
