Riverside have a new opportunity for a Project Assistant working full-time, on a permanent basis.  You will earn £18,135 per annum.
You will work a 5 week rolling rota with both late finishes and early starts. You will work 1 weekend in 5 and some bank holidays.

 

Who you’ll be helping

Wilson Carlile house is a supported housing project we support our customers to find their own accommodation after a period of homelessness (we do not provide any form of Care). Our service is Housing Related Support which includes us encouraging our customers to engage in Training, Education and working towards employment by offering support to make positive changes to their life style.
We support our customers with a variety of different needs which may include Drug or Alcohol addiction and Offending Behaviour.  The post of project assistant requires the right candidate to have excellent Administrating skills, IT Skills and very good communication skills.  The right candidate will be running the main office and reception area alongside a very enthusiastic dynamic staff team.   This post includes dealing with customer enquiries, dealing with Contractors and visitors, maintaining a high level of health and Safety within the project and helping our Customers with day to day enquires working alongside a team of Housing Related support workers.  This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate that enjoys working in a busy environment that has plenty of resilience and is ready for a positive challenge.
Based in Manchester, Wilson Carlile House is part of Connect Manchester working in partnership with Nacro, Salvation Army & Sanctuary Housing.   We have become one service that will offer 163 beds to homeless people in need of support across the Manchester area.
Wilson Carlile House works with males aged 18 + who are homeless and experiencing a housing related crisis and need short term housing related support.

What will you do?

Your role will be an admin based role where you will be expected to take and make phone calls, carry out administrative functions, using IT systems etc. You will also be expected to liaise with and help the residents so experience working with vulnerable groups or in a housing management/social care environment is preferred.

 

Day to day

Your responsibilities as a Project Assistant at Wilson Carlile House will include:

•Acting as an initial point of reference on the phone, or in a reception area as required
•Carrying out day to day office administrative functions to ensure that all records and files are maintained
•Contribute to the formulation and delivery of person centred support plans
•Assisting residents with day-to-day support and tenancy issues
•Using IT systems appropriately including adding updates to the Support Database
