Riverside have a new opportunity for a Night Support Worker, working 26 hours per week, on a permanent basis.

You will earn £12,825 plus 10% Night Shift Allowance per annum. You will be working on a rotational shift basis from Monday to Sunday.


Who you’ll be helping

Ark House is a hostel for single young people aged 16-25  who are registered as homeless with the local authority, or at risk of being homeless.  They must be referred through the counties START referral process. The local authority has 100% nomination right and all referrals come through this process.  You will be working with children and young people that are leaving care or have experienced trauma.

The scheme is staffed 24 hours. Support includes weekly key work sessions to manage tenancies, stay in education or training or to find work and looking for more longer term accommodation.

It is a rewarding role and a chance to really make a difference to the life of a young person.


What will you do?

You will be assisting in the delivery of high quality, individual support service and packages to service users of Riversides ECHG’s supported and Sheltered Schemes whilst working as part of a staff team that is committed to ‘best practice’ in the social housing field.

 

Day to day

Your usual responsibilities as an Ark House Night Support Worker will include:

• Implementing Overall safety and security, including building and security checks, and the use of new technology. Ensuring the overall safety and security of the scheme.
• Effectively managing incidents of crisis intervention and anti-social behaviour.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness within schemes, preparation of rooms and site inspections.
• Effective recording of information.
• Assisting service users with day to day tenancy issues, payment of rent and other scheme requirements.

Does this describe you?

You are experienced in working with vulnerable client groups. You have previous administration experience as well as a basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.
