Riverside have a new opportunity for a Support Worker (Journey Coach) working full-time on a permanent basis.
Who you’ll be helping
Lily Smith House provides support and accommodation to vulnerable homeless adults aged 18 and over, with complex support needs, e.g., mental health, substance misuse, trauma, who are rough sleeping, homeless, at risk of homelessness or impacted by homelessness

What will you do?
You will coach and support our customers, helping them to feel empowered and become independent on their resettlement journey
Day to day
Your key responsibilities as a Journey Coach will include:
•Delivering a ‘best practice’ personalised support service, appropriate to clients’ needs, culture and diversity.
•Assisting clients with day-to-day tenancy issues, payment of rent, claiming benefits, preparing units to let.
•Knowledge of ‘best practice’ in both crisis intervention and planned support working.
•Undertaking referrals and assessments of potential clients, working with them to identify the most appropriate housing solution for their needs.

Does this describe you?
You are generally a positive and engaging person, and can deal with challenging situations at times
Experience of working with vulnerable client groups would be advantageous however this is not essential.
You will be able to demonstrate IT Skills to include a basic proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel as well as a willingness to learn specific IT systems used within Riverside; and complete relevant IT training where required.
