Riverside are currently recruiting for 2 full time, permanent Project Assistants to be based at the Cambridge Youth Foyer, on a shift rota bases working alternate Weekends.
Cambridge Youth Foyer provides support for local 16-25 year olds who are homeless or at risk of homelessness who want to engage in education, training or employment and become independent. We offer a safe, stable environment to focus ambitions, goals and needs.
As a project assistant, you will be responsible for providing administration support to our teams as well as supporting our clients to make their own life choices and to access the services they need. You will provide a first class administration service, maintaining accurate records and acting as the first point of contact for clients by telephone and in person. You will engage with them to offer housing-related support, responding to; and escalating queries as necessary, including working with tenancy agreements and collecting rents and charges.
Ideally, you’ll already have experience of working with vulnerable clients in a housing/social care setting. If not, you will be given on the job training but will certainly have the empathy, interpersonal skills and sensitivity to appreciate how everyday housing issues impact on quality of life. You will also have excellent communication and customer service skills and the organisational skills required to deal with a range of administrative issues.
In return for your hard work we will give you 25 days holiday and access to our pension scheme. We also invest in our employees and want you to develop within the organisation, offering ongoing training and development opportunities.
If you're thinking of joining us, we'd love to hear from you. We encourage applicants from all sections of the community so that we can truly reflect the neighbourhoods in which we work.
Riverside is one of the most innovative and progressive housing and regeneration organisations and we are proud to be improving quality of life for tens of thousands of families and individuals across the UK.
