Riverside are looking to recruit a full time Project Assistant at Lily Smith House in Kent working 37.5 hours per week

Lily Smith House is a 42-bed supported housing scheme. We offer secure accommodation and a safe environment for those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, whilst working closely with each individual to provide them with a personalised package of support to meet their needs.

As a Project Assistant you will play a vital role in providing administration support to our teams, as well as supporting our customers to make their own life choices and to access the services they need.

You will provide a first class administration service, maintaining accurate records and acting as a first point of contact for customers by telephone or in person.  You will engage with them to offer housing related support, responding to and escalating queries as necessary, including working with tenancy agreements and collecting rents and charges.

You will be responsible for cleaning and preparing void rooms ready for new customers. The role can be challenging at times, and you may be required to deal with challenging personalities and chaotic situations; calling the emergency services for example.

Ideally you will have previous experience within a similar role / environment, but your transferable skills are just as important. You will have a positive attitude, be proactive and enthusiastic, with the ability to work effectively with clients, including those who may display challenging behaviour. Additional administration and reception duties will also be required.

You will work a seven-week rolling rota covering early shifts (7am – 3pm), late shifts (2pm -10pm) This will include some weekends and bank holidays, for which you will receive enhanced payment and time off in lieu.

Here at Riverside we invest in our employees offering training and support to enable you to further develop your skills within the organisation. We believe in rewarding our employees and offer exciting employee benefits, including 25 days holiday and much more.

If you’re thinking of joining us, we’d love to hear from you. We encourage applicants from all sections of the community so that we can truly reflect the neighbourhoods in which we work.
