Riverside are looking to recruit a full time Project Assistant at Hamble Court in Reading working 37.5 hours per week.

Hamble Court provides supported housing in Reading for men and women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, facing a range of challenging issues. Our service supports those struggling with issues including addiction, mental health, domestic violence, entrenched rough sleeping and offending behaviour.

As a Project Assistant you will play a vital role in providing administration support to our teams, as well as supporting our customers to make their own life choices and to access the services they need.

You will provide a first class administration service, maintaining accurate records and acting as a first point of contact for customers by telephone or in person.  You will engage with them to offer housing related support, responding to and escalating queries as necessary, including working with tenancy agreements and collecting rents and charges.

You will be responsible for cleaning and preparing void rooms ready for new customers. The role can be challenging at times, and you may be required to deal with challenging personalities and chaotic situations; calling the emergency services for example.

Ideally, you’ll already have experience of working with vulnerable clients in a housing/social care setting. If not, you will be given on the job training but will certainly have the initiative, empathy, interpersonal skills, resilience and sensitivity to appreciate how everyday housing issues impact on quality of life.

Commitment to providing the quality service that our clients need is also essential.  You will have excellent communication, IT and customer service skills and the organisational skills required to deal with a range of administrative issues.

In return we will give you 25 days holiday and access to our pension scheme.  We also invest in our employees and want you to develop within the organisation and offer training and development opportunities.

We also offer:
• Tax free bikes
• Car loan for scheme
• Eye tests, glasses and lenses
• Life assurance
• Home
• Childcare vouchers
• Reward gateway – fantastic high street and online savings

If you’re thinking of joining us, we’d love to hear from you. We encourage applicants from all sections of the community so that we can truly reflect the neighbourhoods
