Riverside are currently recruiting for a full time, permanent Support Worker based in St Saviours In Guildford working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday with 1 weekend out of 5 on an agile basis.
St Saviours dispersed housing project is a supported housing project in Surrey, comprising of 18 shared properties across the county, supporting single homeless customers with complex support needs such as mental health, substance misuse and offending behaviour.
As a Support Worker you will provide support sessions to customers, signpost them to specialist agencies, access funding for education and training initiatives and ultimately provide support to access independent accommodation through personal support plans.
You will also be involved in aspects of housing management such as fire safety, repairs and maintenance and legionella awareness, voids turnaround and general admin such as report writing and managing databases.
The successful candidate will have experience of working with vulnerable customers in a housing or support setting, be able to work to deadline and PSL’s, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have basic IT skills. A car user is essential due to travel around Surrey.
