Riverside are currently recruiting for a full time, permanent Project Assistant based in Wilson Carlile House in Manchester working 37.5 hours per week on a shift rota basis.

Wilson Carlile House is a short term accommodation project providing support and advice to customers who are homeless and have a background in offending. Some customers will present with substance misuse or mental health issues so we are looking for a candidate who is non – judgmental, empathetic and proactive to support our candidates to learn life skills and improve their overall wellbeing. 

You would be required to act as initial point of contact on the phone or in the reception area as required, monitor and report repairs, maintenance and health and safety needs to the appropriate outlet, maintain records in a timely and professional manner and assist in the provision of comprehensive housing management and support service, including working with tenancy agreements and collecting rents and charges.

You will also need to carry put day to day administrative tasks to ensure all records and files are maintained.

You must be competent in using appropriate IT systems and should be familiar with Microsoft office package as well as the ability to display excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, work well as part of a diverse staff team and can contribute to our fantastic scheme.

We would welcome applications from  Candidates who will Act as an initial point of reference on the phone, or in a reception area as required and is competent using appropriate IT systems and maintain professional and timely records, Candidates Who can Work in line with, monitor and report any discrepancies in health and safety standards within the scheme, Report repairs and maintenance needs on behalf of the customers following agreed procedures, Assist in the provision of a comprehensive Housing management and support service, including working with tenancy agreements and collecting rents and charges, Carry out day to day office administration functions to ensure that all records and files are maintained.

Our service is staffed 24 hours. Our rota consists of a combination of shifts between the hours of 7.30 am and 10.00pm with some weekend working required
