Riverside are looking to recruit a Project Assistant at the Cambridge Youth Foyer in Cambridge working 37.5 hours per week on shift rota basis.
The Cambridge youth foyer provides accomodation and 24 hour support for 16 to 25 year olds who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and who want to engage in education, training or employment and become independent.
As a project assistant, you will be responsible for providing administration support to our teams as well as supporting our clients to make their own life choices and to access the services they need. You will provide a first class administration service, maintaining accurate records and acting as the first point of contact for clients by telephone and in person. You will engage with them to offer housing-related support, responding to; and escalating queries as necessary, including working with tenancy agreements and collecting rents and charges.
Ideally, you’ll already have experience of working with vulnerable clients in a housing/social care setting. If not, you will be given on the job training but will certainly have the empathy, interpersonal skills and sensitivity to appreciate how everyday housing issues impact on quality of life. You will also have excellent communication and customer service skills and the organisational skills required to deal with a range of administrative issues.
