Riverside have a unique opportunity for a Floating Support Worker, working full-time, on a permanent basis.


Who you’ll be helping

Across Guildford and Surrey, you’ll be providing one-to-one support for adults over 16, living in their own homes. The adults referred to us need you to help empower them and encourage their independence.

Some of our clients are practicing abstinence from drugs and alcohol, so you will be an invaluable aid for them. Though your resilience may be required some days, this role is truly fulfilling and rewarding.  

The role will involve travel across the Guildford area.

While Riverside does have roles for carers, this is a role perfect for those looking for support work.


What will you do?

As a trusted member of our team, you will act as a mentor, helping develop a personalised support plan for each person. You will also help get clients access to social groups training, education and employment opportunities.


Day to day

Your key responsibilities as a West Surrey Floating Support Worker will include:

  • Sticking to best practice within the social housing field
  • Completing risk, needs and strength assessments
  • Assisting in maximising income and benefits for individuals
