Riverside are looking to recruit a full time Support Worker at The Victoria Project in Cambridge working 37.5 hours per week on a shift rota basis

The Victoria Project is a specialist support centre for the homeless, particularly for those who have experienced addiction or mental health issues. Our support network and accommodation provides a stable, relaxing and motivational atmosphere for our customers to make a positive new start in life.

 

 ABOUT THE ROLE

Your role will involve, providing positive support for our clients with risk assessments and support plans, you will work through challenging barriers, and empower clients to develop the skills needed to live independently.

You will work proactively, to form strong relationships and gain our clients trust, striving to provide the best possible service levels.

 

WHAT DO YOU NEED

Ideally, you’ll already have experience of working with vulnerable clients in a housing/social care setting. If not, you will be given on the job training but will certainly have the initiative, empathy, interpersonal skills, resilience and sensitivity to appreciate how everyday housing issues impact on quality of life.

Commitment to providing the quality service that our clients need is also essential.  You will have excellent communication, IT and customer service skills and the organisational skills required to deal with a range of administrative issues.
