Riverside are looking to recruit a Project Assistant in Blackmore House, Romford, working 18.75 hours per week, over 7 days (flexible), on a permanent basis. You’ll earn £8,775 per year (£17,550 pro rata).
Who you’ll be helping
. Blackmore House offers specialist supported housing for people over 50, with additional support needs around mental health. It provides secure, long-term accommodation that uses a recovery approach to enable independence and promotes living actively within the local community.
This post is based in a supported housing scheme that specialises in support for people who experience mental health issues. Your shift will involve duties that include supporting our customers to manage daily living. This can include, shopping, budgeting, cooking and organising activities aimed at getting people involved. There are also duties around scheme health and safety and ensuring that our customers live in an attractive and psychologically informed environment.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a clear commitment to frontline support and good help. Supporting people to work with their strengths and assets to become more resilient and independent.
The position is for 18.75 hours per week, spread over three shifts. Shifts include some weekends. It is a 365 days a year scheme and you may have to work bank holidays.

You will be expected to liaise with and help the residents so experience working with vulnerable groups or in a housing management/social care environment is preferred. You will be expected to take and make phone calls, carry out administrative functions, using IT systems etc.

Day to day
Your responsibilities as a Project Assistant at Blackmore House will include:
•Acting as an initial point of reference on the phone, or in a reception area as required
•Carrying out day to day office administrative functions to ensure that all records and files are maintained
•Contribute to the formulation and delivery of person centred support plans
•Assisting residents with day-to-day support and tenancy issues
•Using IT systems appropriately including adding updates to the Support Database
