At Shaftesbury John Grooms Court, we're looking for an ambitious and compassionate Deputy Manager to help lead our service and make a lasting difference to the lives of people with physical and intellectual disabilities.
We're seeking a candidate who holds a Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care, ( or willing to work towards this ) with the leadership skills, experience and passion to deliver exceptional person-centred support.
Please note: This role does not qualify for visa sponsorship, as it does not meet the Home Office salary requirements.

About the Service
John Grooms Court is a unique residential service in Norwich, providing accommodation and support for adults with physical and intellectual disabilities.
The service comprises:
- 25 single-occupancy, self-contained flats
- Two shared flats designed for two people
This vibrant community enables the people we support to enjoy independence while receiving personalised support tailored to their individual needs, aspirations and goals.
About the Role
As Deputy Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of care, quality and compliance across the service.
Working alongside the management team, you'll provide leadership, guidance and support to colleagues while helping to shape and continuously improve service delivery.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to combine operational excellence with truly person-centred care.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting and developing high-performing care teams
- Leading on quality assurance, compliance and regulatory standards
- Implementing and improving systems, processes and procedures
- Promoting positive outcomes for the people we support
- Supporting service growth and development opportunities
- Building effective relationships with families, professionals and external agencies
- Ensuring a culture of excellence, inclusion and continuous improvement
- Acting as a positive role model and leader within the service
What You'll Bring
We're looking for an individual who is:
✔ CQC Registered
✔ Qualified to Level 5 in Health and Social Care
✔ Experienced in leading teams within health and social care services
✔ Passionate about delivering outstanding person-centred support
✔ Knowledgeable in safeguarding, compliance and quality standards
✔ A confident communicator with excellent leadership skills
✔ Dedicated to empowering both colleagues and the people we support
