Fire Safety Consultant & Validator

As our company grows and develops, we are ever expanding our teams. We have a great opportunity for a dedicated Fire Safety Consultant & Validator to join our Building & Real Estate Division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.

We are looking for a motivated, dedicated, and reliable Fire Safety Consultant to join our team, ideally with experience in a similar role. Working across a variety of projects both autonomously and as part of a wider team, it is key that you are able to work efficiently as part of a team, as well as independently.

The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):

  • Validate technical aspects of Fire Risk Assessments
  • Conduct Fire Risk Assessments on-site
  • Perform Compartmentation Surveys to assess fire containment measures
  • Carry out Fire Door Surveys to ensure compliance with fire safety standards

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Validate Fire Risk Assessments and conduct site surveys
  • Identify fire hazards, provide risk mitigation guidance, and ensure compliance
  • Produce detailed reports and policies using company templates
  • Assist clients in meeting statutory fire safety requirements
  • Deliver fire safety training and provide technical support
  • Support quality audits and maintain records in line with company procedures
  • Ensure Health & Safety compliance and proper use of safety equipment
  • Collaborate with teams to promote company-wide objectives
  • Adhere to SOCOTEC UK Limited policies and quality assurance standards

About Fire Safety Practice

Our Fire Safety Practice team handles the consultancy side of fire safety. When it comes to fire safety, we provide a host of services including risk assessing, compartmentation surveys, creating fire evacuation plans and fire door surveys. Our services apply to current built assets, and we work on everything from commercial properties to residential, including retail through to educational buildings. In addition to Fire Safety Practice, our Building & Real Estate division provides many other important services including Fire Engineering, Structural Engineering, and Building Control services.
