About the Role
As Senior Automation Developer you will design, build, test, deploy and support intelligent automation solutions that improve operational efficiency, quality, patient experience and colleague experience across the organisation. Working closely with the Digital Transformation Lead, the wider Transformation Team, operational stakeholders, subject matter experts and third-party delivery partners, the post holder will translate business problems into scalable, reliable and well-governed automation solutions.
The role will have a strong healthcare focus, supporting improvements to patient pathways, administrative processes, referral and booking workflows, clinical administration, reporting processes, and other high-volume operational activities where automation, AI, or process redesign can deliver measurable benefit.

Essential Skills and Experience
- Hands-on experience developing, testing, deploying or supporting automation solutions using UiPath or a similar RPA platform.
- Strong understanding of automation lifecycle principles, including process assessment, requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring and support.
- Ability to analyse business processes, break problems down into logical steps and translate operational requirements into technical automation designs.
- Experience of quality assuring, reviewing or supporting automation solutions developed by others, including third-party suppliers.
- Knowledge of exception handling, logging, testing, version control, deployment controls and technical documentation good practice.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose incidents and improve automation stability.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical teams, operational colleagues, subject matter experts and senior stakeholders.
- Ability to work in an iterative delivery environment, balancing pace, quality, safety and operational impact.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- UiPath certification, such as UiPath Certified Professional or Advanced RPA Developer certification.
- Experience with UiPath Studio, Orchestrator, Robots, Action Center, Apps, Integration Service, Data Service or REFramework.
- Experience with AI-enabled automation, intelligent document processing, conversational AI, process orchestration, machine learning, large language models or human-in-the-loop workflows.
- Experience working in healthcare, patient administration, contact centre, referrals, bookings, clinical administration, finance, reporting or other high-volume operational environments.
- Knowledge of SQL, APIs, Microsoft Azure, Power Platform, Python, C#, .NET or other relevant scripting and integration technologies.
- Lean Six Sigma, continuous improvement, Agile, business analysis or project delivery experience.
