We have a great training opportunity as an apprentice installer of our Homelift product at Stannah, that offers a salary higher than the national average!
The Stannah Homelift is a lift in a domestic environment that travels vertically between two floors on a self-supporting structure driven by a hydraulic pump. A lift in the home can help take the strain off, so that moving things around or simply getting up and downstairs is effortless, giving our customers the freedom to stay in the home that they love.
The purpose of the apprenticeship scheme is to undertake and achieve our apprenticeship training programme within the approved timeframe for the qualification. This includes both practical training and on the job learning.
You will spend time with other departments to learn and appreciate the entire customer journey. As you progress through the programme, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate the knowledge, skills and behaviours that you will gain from working closely with our experienced installation engineers.
The training programme and your development within the role will enable you to safely and competently carry out the installation and removal of Homelift products, whilst supporting the effective delivery and achievement of Business and Departmental Objectives.
Due to working within our customer’s homes installers mate will require a DBS check which the company will provide.
A vehicle is provided with the position therefore a valid full driving licence is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out the installation and removal of Homelift products
- Attend training sessions / learning events as part of the apprenticeship
- Work towards completing an NVQ qualification
- Develop an understanding of Homelift specifications and installations
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- To be considered for a Lift Engineering Apprenticeship you must have achieved a minimum of GCSE Grade 4 - 9 (A-C) passes in Maths and English as a minimum, and a Science or Engineering subject is also preferred.
