RECRUITMENT OPEN WEEK 22ND TO 28TH FEBRUARY 2020
We are currently recruiting for Care Assistants to join our team at Sunrise of Chorleywood (WD3 5TQ). We have long shifts available in the day (7am to 7pm) for both Full Time (36 hours) and Part time (up to 28 hours) roles. We also have Night shifts available (7pm to 7am). Shifts will be on a rota basis across weekdays and weekends - we will provide you with a free meal if you are working a long day as well as free transport from Watford Junction, Rickmansworth or Chorleywood station if you are working nights or on a weekend shift.
What if you can't commit to long shifts? We also have short shifts available - 7am to 2.30pm or 2pm till 9.30pm. Or you can join our bank and work adhoc hours as and when required by the community to cover annual leave and absence - this is an opportunity to experience what it is like to work at Sunrise of Chorleywood without committing to a permanent role as there are no set hours each week.
What if you don't have Care experience? No problem...
Previous experience within the Care sector is not essential as we provide full comprehensive training. As an organisation we are extremely proud of the training and career development that we offer to all our team members. It’s really important for us and our residents to ensure that you to feel fully confident and comfortable in your role. All our new care team members undergo a 2 week induction programme including eLearning, commencement of your care certificate underpinning knowledge of 15 standards and practical sessions which include Memory Care Pathway, Falls documentation training, Dining experience and Allergen, Basic Care and Customer Service skills. We also arrange competency and shadow shifts as part of your training. Our Management team and Senior Care Assistants will be there every step of your career to guide and support you.

We will give you a 10p enhancement on your hourly rate after 6 months service, 20p after 12 months and 30p for 2 year’s service.

We provide people focused services for seniors in spacious and secure communities. We need a cheerful, compassionate person to carry out a wide range of general and personal care tasks, offering our residents emotional as well as physical support. Sound judgment, initiative and problem solving ability are extremely important. The ability to read, write and communicate in English will also be vital.
Key things about you;
- Experience preferred but not essential – however a caring and compassionate attitude is.
- NVQ 2/3 in Health and Social Care desirable or a willingness to undertake the qualification
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Medication administration training and/or a willingness to undertake training if required
- Must be able to work flexible hours
