Who is telent?
telent is a technology partner to some of the biggest names in the rail sectors including London Underground, Network Rail and Transport for London providing maintenance and management of our customers assets to ensure continued and reliable service is maintained for their critical communications infrastructure.
Build, develop and take ownership for the Business Development strategy to drive sales and profit growth for UK Rail Customers and Transport prospects to achieve sales targets for Telent products and services. Customers and prospects include, but not limited to, Train Operating Companies, Passenger Transport Executives and rail corridor Cable Network providers.
Increased revenues and opportunities for nominated accounts.
Development and maintaining account plans and engagement strategies.
•Maintaining existing and develop new relationships with nominated accounts, partners and other transport prospects to secure new orders.
•Maintaining and improving customer satisfaction and advocacy.
•Contribute and deliver high-quality external outputs (proposals, presentations, bid submissions and other communications) to customers.
Accurate and timely reporting of prospecting, sales and activity.
Business Operations Skills – Experience:
•Demonstrable experience and a proven track record of opportunity identification and development through to profitable sales.
•Demonstrable experience and a proven track record of managing and developing Customer relationships to deliver sales and growth.
•Successful high value technology and services sales track record into UK Rail customers is essential.
•Knowledge, experience and track record of sales success into UK Rail (Network Rail, Transport for London or Transport Operators).
•Demonstration of constant target achievement
Business Operations Skills – Qualifications:
•Customer facing experience with excellent communication and presentation skills.
•Broad understanding of telecommunications product, technologies and services.
•Strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
•Understanding of operational, commercial and financial aspects of technical services contracts.
•Experience of identifying customers business problems and developing commercial proposition to meet the requirement.
