Role Profile

Reporting to the Program Director, the purpose of this role is to accredit and assess operatives on the client’s assets which will consist of from an accreditation perspective. The role is responsible for ensuring that prior to go-live training material have been produced in line with the requirements of the contract and to support the business in achieving right first-time approach to quality. 

Typical Deliverables

Where appropriate the job holder must deliver the accreditation and carryout assessor licencing on other assessors within Telent or Supply Chain.

The role will also include the ability to set up a training centre in a designated location which will be in Wellingborough, to produce training materials including but not limited to:

(a)        on-line documents and videos, for example showing the step-by-step tasks involved in achieving a ‘Gold Standard’ installation, which will minimise any variability of on-site work

(b)        classroom training for key elements including hands-on aspects

(c)        dedicated vehicles to cover Ambulance-specific aspects such as anti-bacterial sealing of conduit which will be procured by Telent

(d)       modules developed in partnership with FITAS

(e)        tests and observations to assess and confirm competence.


This role is responsible for providing expertise to the business, on all aspects of the FCS 1362 accreditation in terms of all the training methods and accreditations required to ensure a right first-time culture.

Have the ability to accredit and coach in the classroom and field, with good interpersonal and presentational skills.

Business Operations Skills – Experience:

  • Must be conversant with the Emergency Vehicle Installation Standards with excellent knowledge of FCS 1362, IMI, MDAM, NMA, Airwave, Vehicle CCTV, BS EN 1789.
  • Ideally be able to deliver accreditation or work with an accredited training school to ensure all installers are accredited to FCS 1362
  • A background in learning and development is required with a passion for coaching and training in an engineering environment
